Visual Design Experience

Thirty-seven years of television experience in conceptualizing, presenting and executing visual design for video, scenic, print and digital platforms.  Experienced in traditional and digital illustration.

Management Experience

Twenty-three years of art direction and personnel management experience. Trained in the principles of leadership, staff motivation,   evaluation and training, managing creative employees, interdepartmental communication, operational economy, and the legal aspects of hiring and supervising.

Technical Experience

High definition video design, virtual and augmented reality design, scenic design, digital design, environmental design, interior design, typography, photography, videography, illustration.

Adobe Creative Suite: After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Premiere

Working understanding of the following technical and visual design areas: Videography, print and digital production, virtual scenic design, scenic construction and painting, music and sound design, lighting design. Cinema 4D, Macromedia Flash, WSI Max HD, Pixel Power Clarity, Ross Xpression, UX and Overdrive.

 

RECENT VISUAL DESIGN PROJECTS

Redesigned the WTHR and Eyewitness News logo packages.  Lead the scenic, on-air, digital and print redesign of WTHR station programming in 2014-2015.

Created on-air, scenic and digital packaging for presidential election coverage, Rio Olympic Games, 500 Festival Mini-Marathon, 500 Festival Parade and Indianapolis 500 Race programming, and the Downtown Indy Circle of Lights.

Designed virtual and augmented reality scenic design for WTHR TV 13 news programming. Supervised the execution.

Provided design packaging for NBC Olympics from 1996-2016, local and national election coverage, NFL Colts and Indianapolis Super Bowl XLVI, NBA Pacers, WTHR Health Expo and several local community service campaigns.
